Hello Folks,
We took a quick trip to Katherine for the Father's Day long weekend. Our youngest daughter was born in Katherine Hospital and it was great to re visit our home town of 4 years. The Nitmaluk Gorge Cruise was stunning as ever. The only disappointment was Knotts Crossing Resort which could use a bit of a renovation.
The month just gone saw the the release of Boundless Possible, a perhaps jarring rebrand of our fair Territory, a new Prime Minister, the Darwin Cup was run and won and $15k for interstate immigrants who can stick it out for 5 years was announced.
Rate Rises
Interest rate rises by banks and lenders have left only a few lenders in the sub 4% space. Investors, who typically pay more than home owners, are also seeing out of cycle rate rises.
The first action you can take is contact your bank and confirm the rate you are paying. Next ask for a discount! An existing customer is worth more to a bank than a new one. If you are not happy consider a mortgage makeover, in a 20 minute phone call I can assess what can be done. Call Nick Kirlew Mortgage Broker on 0447 499 794 to understand the savings available.
First Home Buyers
A search of properties for sale reveals a number of $300,000 homes in Palmerston are under contract. Meanwhile $380,000 homes are going under contract in the Northern Suburbs.
Palmerston units kick in around $200,000. Meanwhile in the Northern Suburbs there are a few sub $300,000 properties available. The CBD and Nightcliff have a diverse range commencing closer to $150,000.
If you see a property and would like to know more send me the address and I will email you a free property report. Find our the property history, estimated value and recent comparable sales. Email Nick Kirlew Mortgage Broker nick@arafin.com.au
