A LONG-vacant block in the Darwin central business district has been bought but its new owner is keeping mum about plans for its future.
United Realty’s Frank Schembri confirmed the block at 33 Daly St had been bought by a local person but could not go into any details about a potential development as the client wanted the plans to remain confidential.

The final sealing of the 35km stretch of Gunn Point Rd and Murrumujuk Rd was being completed and the project will officially be open to the public from next week.
PALMERSTON fishos have hooked a great result from Palmerston Council and are now allowed to drop a line in all 16 of the council’s lakes. Previously, only three lakes were open for fishing as they required signage and platforms to ensure fisho safety.

Three Territory projects have made it onto Infrastructure Australia’s list of 121 “nationally significant” projects and none have made the “high priority” list.
The three projects which made the cut are upgrades to the Tanami Rd, remote infrastructure in Jabiru, Tiwi Islands and Wadeye, and upgrades to Darwin water supply infrastructure.

Central Australia rated the hotspot for NT property
THE Alice Springs property market is one of the strongest in the Territory, according to a recent report by Hotspotting and Ryder Property Research.
The National Top 10 Regional Hotspots 2019 report said Alice Springs’ strong rental yields, low vacancies and reasonable house prices were a big positive for the Territory’s market.
According to the Real Estate Institute of the NT’s RELM magazine December 2018 issue, 61 houses were sold in Alice Springs at a median price of $475,000 during the December quarter.
The regional town comes second to Palmerston, where 111 houses were sold at a median price of $447,000.
